Can someone please explain to me how the Navy deployments work?
I'm a little confused on shore duty/sea duty, and the diffrence between sea duty and being deployed. When I graduate A-School will I start off in shore duty or sea duty? How long is each cycle? Are you deployed during sea duty, shore duty, or both? Any information on anyone of this would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning on joining the Navy in the next couple weeks and I just want to make sure I know how eveything works. I'm heavily leaning towards the aviation field. Trying to determine if we should use the car seat or get the CARES, the Child Aviation Restraint System. Our son is a big kid; almost 30 lbs. Suggestions and recommendations welcome.(I understand children under 2 years old can sit on an adult's lap; but I've done all the research. Is suicide the only viable solution with dealing with not getting a job?
stupidly though that a degree would help me be more employable or at least get a menial mind numbing job, but i was unfortunate enough to graduate this may into the worst recession since the great depression As such im about 30K in debt from school loans, don't have any experience except a stupid library job, shelving books and doing other no skilled crap, couldn't get an internship and probably have a bad resume. I don't even have enough money to pay a professional resume service to write me one. I cant find a job in my field (aviation management) and any other field would result in me being miserable. To make things more humiliating i ve been turned down from stupid chimp positions at Target and other dead end level jobs, apparently im not qualified to stand around and put stuff on shelves in a store all day, like a moron. and no one will give me a chance in aviation or in a skilled decent paying entry level job...in short i cant get any job!!!!!!The only solution to defaulting on my loan and as such never again being able to get a job or get a place to live with wreaked credit from default student loans, seems to be suicide. Upon death the loan is forgiven....and since i seem to be unemployable, and my private university diploma apparently only being good as toilet paper, what choice do i have? I live with my mom, and if i default ill be there for ever?
Im an ATHEIST, and i don't care about my parents, in fact killing myself would release a huge financial burden. If society isn't going to give me a chance to be productive in any kind of job after i put in so much money and work to get educated why should i continue living? Those &*&^%'s cant get my money when dead?
So this seems my only choice...is it? (please no touchy feely god crap, or family BS or cliched stuff)
Im tired of being useless, of not qualifying for stupid menial labor jobs, and being broke. I AM NOT EMPLOYABLE< SO WHY NOT SUICIDE?? Cant think of one reason.
Also, whats the most effective relatively painless way to go?
Please forgive the grammar, im slightly drunk as i got rejected for another job not TWO days after i applied...best way to deal with this untill i figure out how to get the guts to off myself.

The seller was agree to cancel it if I left a “positive feedback and 5-Star Detailed Seller Ratings in each category” (I have the email) . I received a strange package with an old book inside tracking# xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx on November 13rd 2009. The book is "MACMILLAN ENGLISH" book. Clearly is an very old used book.
The sender on the label shows:

This is very strange since:
1.Per the USPS tracking website this package was sent from Abilene, Texas (the same city where

2. “Aero Scene Pulse” does not exist. Whoever sent it knew that I was going to pay attention to the package because I work in a aviation-related company. (the seller knew that since I sent them emails using my company email).
Fortunately I saved everything, the original package, the book, the emails, the tracking number, everything. I have a lot of evidence that I never received the item.
this looks to be a kind of fraud.
Note that I live in Florida, I can't afford to travel to Texas or pay an attorney. I want to clarify if this is a attempted of fraud or what is really the plaintiff is trying to do. Entry-level DSLR for airshows?
I plan to get a new DSLR camera, but I want to save as much money as I can. The Canon XS, Nikon D3000, and Sony A330 are all in the same family and cost about the same amount. But since I do quite a lot of aviation photography, I will also need a 70-300mm lens in addition to the kit one. I know Canon and Nikon have the best image quality, but I can't pay $500 for the additional lens. So even though it comes third in the camera world, would it still be the smartest move to go with the Sony since it has image stabilization built in and I wouldn't need to pay for it in the lens? what are the dangers of deploying an inflatable emergency chute on airplane?
Pretty much everyone has heard of the "Steven Slater", hero or zero, if you haven't just google his name.- JetBlue’s chief operating officer, COO Rob Maruster, “Slides deploy extremely quickly, with enough force to kill a person,” he wrote. “Slides can be as dangerous as a gun, and that’s the reason we have intensive initial and recurrent training. It is an insult to all aviation professionals to have this particular element of the story treated without the seriousness it deserves.”
If there are any pilots or airline attendants reading. What makes deploying a emergency chute dangerous, on a stopped plane, that's de-boarding passengers. Who was at risk because of his actions? Would planes be allowed to land since this plane's chutes were deployed or because of his was air traffic redirected.
I would like to know the bigger picture.
I'm going to be debating this issue in my argumentation and debate class (should he go to jail for his actions why or why not)=but that is NOT my question on here)

United States Coast Guard Academy and Flight School Possibility?
Hello Im currently a Sophomore in high school and i've been doing good in my classes and have been taking additional classes throughout the summer. I have done so because my family happens to be a Coast Guard family and happens to be making their final move, untill I join the USCG for myself. To do this I have been researching and discovered the USCG Academy offer's Mechanical Engineering which I plan to take as my major and pass of course to be able to graduate and be one of quite few that is able to attend the Naval Air Station Pensacola which offers flight training for USCG aviators. In the field of aviation I have been leaning towards the more adventurous of careers of course and not simply be behind a desk which my Father seems to do. these things include possibly being the pilot of a helicopter performing a rescue from a sinking ship. I want a career I don't call work but something I enjoy doing. As of this moment in time I have currently received 6.5 but soonly to be recieving 2 credits for working for Island Trails Network here on Kodiak as well as .5 for P.E. so far i will have roughly 18 credits possibly less or more at the end of my Sophomore year. Which means I'll need roughly 3 credits once again possibly less or more but I am guarenteed to have reached 21 credits by the end or even possibly half way through the year. (21 credits total to graduate high school in the state of Alaska) more essentially the core math, english, ETC... classes. My plan is to graduate high school at the end of my junior year when my Father is scheduled to make his last move before retirement. So what i'm trying to do is get ahead of the game in a way,i've researched over the internet and haven't found much yet. first off yes, I know the USCG Academy is really hard to get into but im very well rounded I play football during the school year here in kodiak(football season in kodiak is mostly the summer when schools out). anyway I've also played my guitar for about 5 years now as well. Lastly not by choice i had joined Scouting and i am about to become Star at age 15 about 3 months before 16 giving me enough time to achieve the Eagle scout rank and earn the 3 palms. During the school year i retain good grades of A's and B's. So far what i've researched is that Need to do my best on the SAT or I believe the ACT with a writing test as well as all the other paperwork such as physical ETC...((((((((((((Question))))))))))) but what i haven't found is how many USCG Aviators are able to attend the attend Naval Air Station Pensacola annualy. As well i'm wondering if i keep on the same direction what chance I have at achieving my goal. As well as any tips or suggestions to help me out. or possibly any other possible roads to look down ( As well i have been considering joining the USAF as of now though not looked into the Airforce branch)
Thanks, for taking the time to read and possibly have submitted an answer, tip, or maybe a suggestion if you feel I left somthing just answer and i'll answer by the end of that day. Once again thank's for sticking through to the end of my question.
(The Highschool I attend has a schedule of 6 possible credits a year leaving 2 open hours in the Senior year I took 6 classes in the summer and earned 2.5 through work. (work credits are 90 hours for .5 credits as well as the physical labor).

Questions about Navy Aviation?
Background Info:I know seems silly to bring up, but humor me. I cant breathe on roller coasters when i get to the drops. This is not out of fear because ive been on coasters without knowing there was a drop, and still got the same reaction. Is this due to the G-force? Also, my ultimate goal is to become a major airline pilot, but have only recently considered joining the military. The navy combines my enthusiasm for flight and the military aspect. So...
1. With the info mentioned, would I have problems flying any type of aircraft in the Navy(helicopters, fighters, jets, etc...)?
2. For how long do you have to enlist when in aviation training?
3. At what point do i begin my enlistment(After training completion, or during)?
4.What happens if i am in the BDCP program and not chosen for flight school? As in, will i be obligated to join a different career?
5. What will i face in the OCS and primary flight training(Specifics if possible)?
6. Are there any physical requirements, other than the vision and hearing?
7. If i am able to choose specialized training with an aircraft, which one should i choose(considering my goal as a major airline pilot)?
If there's anything you think i should know about the Navy, Aviation, or the major airline profession in general please let me know. Finally, thanks for all your help and ill do more research on all the specific airplanes on my own.

And yes, he does ask 21 questions about every man I mention a name of.
One more thing! We recently came back from a trip to Santa Barbara, Ca together. While down there, on our last day in the hotel I slept in my lingerie. Like I said, we both work for airlines, and there was no seats back home so we were forced to stay one more night in a hotel. Anywho...I didn't care because he sleeps in his boxers only, so why can't I sleep in mine? Well, at 5am we get a wake up call, he answers it then I roll over to wake up and he snaps photos of me in my lingerie. What is up with that? Why take photos of me in such little clothing if we are just friends?
And no, we have never had sex before. He's tried making out with me when he's drunk though...lol. I just pushed him off.

I have been an aviation enthusiast for 2 years now and watch airplanes fly at 35,000 feet in my backyard and am wondering what is the white smoke and why do they use it?Pytanie #47:
Should I take up Aviation after my IT degree?
I've been passionate with IT for quite a while now and I've always thought that IT would be my future career. However, along the way of completing my IT course, being a pilot seemed like a more exciting thing to me. For some reason my subconscious tells me that if I was a pilot one day, I would definitely enjoy it more than I would if I went along with my IT career. I would be disappointed at myself for not trying to achieve that goal. I know it's really confusing and it might seem like a waste of time, but that's honestly how I feel.In case your wondering, why pilot? It's because I've always wanted to be an Astronaut (got caught up with IT along the way!) and from where I come from being a pilot is the closest thing I can get to. I'm in love with nature, I love traveling, and I want to see the beautiful world from up top. That has always been my dream.
So, what should I do? I need your opinion especially if you're a pilot:)
Thank you
